US viewers switch off Coronation after too many mentions of Harry
CNN coverage of King Charles’ coronation
American CNN viewers fumed at coverage of the King’s Coronation as they became irate over “too many mentions” of Prince Harry.
The US broadcaster was one of many stateside stations leading reports of King Charles III’s ceremony held at Westminster Abbey in London.
Taking place earlier today, some locals slammed the network after “waking up at 5am” to watch their analysis.
Writing their complaints on Twitter earlier, others took aim at anchor Anderson Cooper.
User @AlexFNYC explained: “I had to turn off CNN because Anderson wouldn’t stop interrupting everyone. #Coronation.”
While @shelbyamatt added: “What was with Anderson Cooper today?? I got up at 5am to watch King Charles Coronation. (sic)
“Not to count how many times Harry came out of Anderson’s mouth!!
“He didn’t know where George was. Kept talking over and interrupting his co-host. CNN!! Anderson ruined it for me today!!”
@SweetCa40472719 said: “Now that the Coronation is over, will CNN shut up talking about the King, the Monarchy, and Harry?
“Please, shut up, and tell Anderson he sounds like an idiot saying words like ‘lovely’.”

Complaining about further coverage, user @BadgerPoliGuy wrote: “CNN is now having a story about people’s dogs at the coronation.
“Please make it stop. This isn’t news.”
While @MATropea added: “There were no pictures of Diana in the presentation of Charles’s life shown during the coronation.
“Shame, she is the mother of the future king.”
@SallyWhiteMarsh commented: “Thoroughly disgusted by CNN coverage of the coronation. Not a good look for the network.”
