Whoopi Goldberg is no stranger to stirring up a fuss, especially when she and her fellow panel discuss the latest events and news on The View. And once again the actress has been called out by fan safter they branded Goldberg “condescending” following her reaction to Gwyneth Paltrow’s court battle.
Whoopi Goldberg’s attitude towards a segment on The View this week has sent fans into an uproar.
The panel was seen discussing the recent events of Gwyneth Paltow’s court case during the Hot Topics segment during Monday morning’s show.
The producers played a clip from Paltrow’s ongoing trial showing her appearance in her recent lawsuit case.
The actress has been sued for seriously injuring a fellow skier in an accident recently.
While in court, Paltrow was probed by an attorney as she sat on the witness stand.
After the actress finished answering the questions, the attorney quipped: “Small but mighty,” resulting in Paltrow cracking a smile.
The clip then cut and the camera’s focus pointed to Goldberg, as she could be seen sitting at the panel resting her chin in her palms, looking rather bored.
The rest of Goldberg’s co-hosts were caught laughing when the camera panned to them.
Shortly after, Goldberg’s co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, admitted that the clip from the courtroom made her “so uncomfortable”.
Many fans commented on Goldberg’s reaction to the segment on Twitter, as they called her out for her “rude” reaction during the segment.
One viewer @HRHGrandDuchess wrote: “Come on, Whoopi, enough with these ‘I’ll just hunch over and look bored during the entire segment’ reactions!!!
“It’s getting old!!! If you don’t want to talk about it, then don’t agree to bring it up in the first place!!!”
With @GrandellRich agreeing: “It was funny the first couple times — it’s no longer funny or interesting,
“And it’s condescending to the other women. Whoopi wouldn’t like it if any of the others looked bored when she goes off on a rant. #TheView.”
Another user @Shavalerie wrote: “I enjoy having #TheView on while working at home. However, why does Whoopi always look so annoyed when the other hosts are talking?
“The way she looks off & doesn’t participate, as if she’s too good for the convo, is distracting. Why are you there if you don’t want to contribute?”

It is not the first time fans have called out the actress for looking bored during discussions on The View.
Earlier this month, fans took to Twitter again to call her out for looking “bored” as she admitted that she was thankful that the show was “going to break” while on live TV.
The View continues weekdays on ABC in the US.
