NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles and NCIS Hawaii will be crossing paths on Monday, January 9, with each airing a new episode that links an arching investigation and features stars from its sister shows. The CBS event will also be introducing some new faces who are connected to a high-profile case to take down a mysterious hitman. Here’s everything there is to know about NCIS crossover’s guest star Dawn Olivieri.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from NCIS.

Who is Dawn Olivieri?

Actress Dawn Olivieri is currently starring as the villain Sarah Atwood in Paramount Network’s Western drama Yellowstone.

She is a lawyer who works for Market Equities and is determined to bring the Dutton family down after John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) is elected Governor of Montana.

Sarah is also the lover of the state attorney general and John’s son Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley.

She told him that his dad placed ranch land in a conservation easement that would end up bankrupting the state which is an impeachable offence, but will he get John into trouble?

Besides Yellowstone, Olivieri has been in Secrets and Lies, Lucifer, American Hustle, The Vampire Diaries and SEAL Team, just to name a few.

Sci-fi fans may recognise her for portraying Lydia, the Painted Lady in the drama Heroes.

Olivieri’s biggest role to date though has been as Monica Talbot in Showtime’s House of Lies.

She starred in the drama for four seasons until the show came to an end in 2016.

The 41-year-old will now be making her NCIS debut as a possible rogue CIA agent who kidnaps Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen).

With their hands and feet tied to chairs, Jane and Jimmy’s masks are taken off to reveal Olivieri’s character in the trailer.

She warns Jane: “You need to tell me everything if you want to survive”, but what is it that she wants to know?

The teaser shows that Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) may have found out a bit more about his colleagues’ kidnappers.

Hanna is shown speaking to Jimmy and Jane after what appears to be a successful rescue mission.

He tells them: “Whatever we stepped into, it’s big”, suggesting that he knows who is behind the abductions.

Jane is then seen asking her Los Angeles-based colleague: “Why would the CIA abduct three federal employees?”

Fans are just going to have to wait to find out the truth behind Olivieri’s character’s motive.

There is still some time to wait before the NCIS franchise returns for this three-way crossover special.

No more new episodes are going to be shown for the rest of 2022 as the series takes its hiatuses over the festive period.

The special was originally scheduled for the day after New Year’s Day but has now been delayed by one week.

NCIS’ three-way crossover will air on Monday, January 9, 2023, on CBS in the USA. A UK release date hasn’t been announced.
