A beautician who survived the A40 horror crash that killed a young mum hopes to be well enough to leave hospital early next week.

Zamarod Arif suffered a broken leg and arm in the 100mph crash – with a seat belt saving her life.

The 26-year-old has been progressing well at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, where she has been well enough to meet with friends and family.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Range Rover, who is in the same hospital, could be brought out of a medically induced coma at the weekend.

The driver, Rida Al Mousawi (pictured), 24, from Greenford, West London, could be brought out of his medically induced coma next week after his £120,000 car flew off the road and burst into flames on Monday, killing a mother-of-one

Rida Al Mousawi was put into the coma by doctors after suffering a major head injury when he was thrown from the £120,000 Range Rover when it flipped off the A40 and landed on railway tracks at Park Royal station in West London.

Friends said the 24-year-old, who also suffered numerous broken bones, has made good progress since being admitted to hospital.

‘We are all hoping that he will be brought out of the coma in the next couple of days,’ said a friend.

‘Everyone is praying for Rida that he comes out of the coma and can start to talk.

‘It will be a difficult conversation as he does not know that one of his friends died in the crash. He will be devastated.’

The jewellery store manager and his surviving passengers are on separate wards at the London hospital.

Mum of one Yagmor Ozden died in the crash after she was ejected from her rear passenger seat.

Her 12-year-old daughter is being looked after by family and she posted a poignant tribute to her mother on social media with a painting showing two handprints.

Arif told Mail Online from her hospital bed that the 33-year-old was not wearing a seat belt.

She said she had told her and Rida to put them on as they began their journey from a late-night shisha restaurant on an industrial estate close to the scene of the accident.

The beautician told hold she was tossed around the inside of the 4×4 as it catapulted over a Tesla charging station and ended up on railway tracks.

She said she was lucky to be alive and said God had given her a second chance.

Arif said she was relieved to know that her friend Rida could be brought out of his coma.

‘That is the best news I have heard,’ she told MailOnline.

Crash investigators have yet to interview Arif as they pull together all the CCTV that would have captured the black Range Rover SVR as it travelled at speed along the A40.

Arif said Rida, who liked to tease passengers by driving fast, had swerved to avoid an animal or object in the road and lost control.

The speeding car careering through a metal fence was captured on a dashcam by an Uber driver charging his Tesla car. A 52-year-old man, who was in another Tesla at the charging station and was hit by flying debris, suffered minor injuries.

The three people in the Range Rover had been at a shisha restaurant called The Wish Lounge prior to the crash.

The venue is now under investigation by council chiefs as it does not have a licence to sell food, stage events with a DJ or remain open until 3am.

A spokesman for Ealing Council confirmed the venue, which opened two years ago, was unlicensed.

Local residents have complained about noise from people leaving the lounge which is in a converted office sandwiched between two car repair garages. They have reported hearing cars racing along the roads leading to the lounge.

One resident said:’ The venue is crowded until 2am on the weekend. It has live music, dancing and seems overcrowded.’

When Mail Online visited the Wish Lounge a group of young men working at venue refused to comment and refused to say who the owner was.

The lounge advertises on social media with special events held at weekends.

Photographs posted to the lounge’s social media page show a resident DJ and a packed dance floor.

A company called Wish Lounge Ltd is registered to Ghaith Al-Waili but it in June was dissolved and struck off the register at Companies House.
