Aultmore House was commissioned by Aberdonian Industrialist, Archibald Merrilees to the designs of the well-known Edwardian architect C H B Quennell.
Aultmore also features 11 bathrooms, a billiard room, multiple open marble fire places, two kitchens, a butler’s pantry and a guest or staff wing.
The three-story property, completed between 1911 and 1915, is accessed via a long elegant driveway with a smart turning circle at the front of the house.
The home has retained many of the features from it original owners including detailed plasterwork on ceilings, archways and timber floors.
The estate, once commandeered as a convalescent home during the Second World War, also has several other detached properties, including a Victorian greenhouse.
Dylan updated the wiring, heating and hot water systems substantially in 2007/08, according to Knight Frank.
The charming Highland village of Nethy Bridge is just 1.5 miles away with a butcher’s shop, primary school and 9-hole golf course.
The property is also only 40 miles from Gordonstoun, where King Charles went to school.
