Boris Johnson’s sister shared a photograph from their childhood of her wearing a nurse costume as a five-year-old girl – after Liz Truss addressed sexism in her Tory Conference speech this week.

The Prime Minister recalled how she was once presented, on a plane, with a ‘Junior Air Hostess’ badge as a child while her brothers were given ‘Junior Pilot’ ones.

Miss Truss’s remarks about sexism inspired Rachel Johnson, 57, to share her sweet photograph with Boris.

‘I was given a nurse costume when I was five and my older brother got a Red Indian one complete with headdress and tomahawk,’ she said. ‘Make of that what you will.’
