Boulder police investigating possible threat to Fairview High students – The Denver Post

Boulder police and school district officials are investigating a possible threat made online to multiple students at Fairview High School.

Boulder Valley School District spokesman Randy Barber said the threat was reported through the Safe2Tell hotline.

Barber said the campus is not on secure status or lockdown but that there will be added security presence at the school in “an abundance of caution.”

“We are taking it seriously, as we do all threats,” Barber said.

An email was sent to Fairview High parents alerting them to the situation.

Boulder police said they are in contact with the suspect, who is not a current Fairview High student.

Police said the case remains under investigation but they do not believe there is a public safety threat at this time.
