British woman, 24, dies after falling 30ft from hotel balcony in Ibiza

A British woman has died after falling from a second-floor balcony at a hotel in Ibiza, reports say.

The 24-year-old tourist was declared dead at the scene at around 9am.

Her unnamed partner is understood to have been with her at the time. He reportedly told police she plunged 30ft from the balcony.

Paramedics were scrambled to the Rosamar Hotel, near the party resort of San Antonio, this morning, but she could not be saved.

A police investigation has been launched.

The Rosamar is a four-star adults only hotel a short walk from the beach in Cala de Bou, in the west of the island.

No one from the hotel could immediately be reached for comment.

Earlier this month, a 35-year-old British woman died after falling from the sixth-floor of the Hotel Bellver in the Majorcan capital Palma.

Another British woman, 48, also died last month in a fall from an eighth-floor room at the four-star Hotel Melia Palma Marina.
