Terminator 2 star Edward Furlong looked worse for wear as he was spotted leaving his LA apartment after Dawson’s Creek actress Monica Keena spent the night at his apartment.

Over a decade after she filed a restraining order against the former child actor, the on-off couple have seemingly reunited following a series of turbulent years.

Furlong, who shot to fame in 1991 after starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger aged just 13, looked disheveled and unkempt as he left Keena in his apartment to run errands.

Now, six years after his 2016 drug conviction, his last brush with the law, Furlong has appeared to reconnect with his longtime love interest, two months after celebrating five years of sobriety.

Keena was granted a restraining order against the actor in 2013 after multiple domestic violence accusations, which have continued to plague his attempts at landing film roles in recent years.

But the pair have seemingly reconnected as Keena was spotted arriving at his apartment at around 11am Monday morning.

As the two spent the day holed up inside, Furlong was only seen emerging to throw trash out and pick up his laundry.

After a brief hour-long trip out that evening, the one-time couple ventured out from Furlong’s LA apartment the next day, with Keena still wearing the same clothes as the night before.

Following a successful child acting career that included a starring role in Oscar-nominated flick American History X, Furlong spiraled into a crippling meth and heroin addiction that led to multiple arrests.

After first visiting rehab in 2000 for his drug addiction, Furlong struggled through years of relapses that led to several scrapes with the law.

In April 2001, a 23-year-old Furlong was hospitalized with a suspected drug overdose as he built his reputation as a Hollywood party animal.

This was followed by years of embarrassing arrests, including for one bizarre incident that saw him attempt to free lobsters from a storefront display.

Years of addition struggles persisted through the birth of his son in 2006, as his career continued to careen downhill despite previously working with icons including Meryl Streep and Liam Neeson.

A failed three-year marriage with actress Rachael Bella ended in 2009, which saw him slapped with a restraining order after allegedly punching her in the face in a drug-fueled rage.

His subsequent relationship with Dawson’s Creek starlet Monica Keena again captured headlines after Furlong was arrested multiple times for alleged domestic violence.

He was later handed another restraining order Keena, and after he was arrested on domestic battery a charges against her in 2013, Furlong seemingly hit rock bottom amid his third arrest in four months.

Years of meth abuse had rotted his teeth, and striking images sparked concern for years as the child star’s descent became clear for all to see.

Following decades of struggle, the actor has turned his life around in recent times, revealing to DailyMail.com last year that he had re-launched his career as he celebrated his ‘second chance’.

‘It feels great to be back on set and sober too,’ he said.

‘I didn’t feel hungover when I went to work. There’s other sober people at work which is weird because if you’re not sober, you’re not hanging out with the other sober people. It was cool.’

Despite his teeth rotting out due to years of horror drug abuse, the then-44-year-old admitted that it took him some time to agree to having his teeth ‘ripped out’ and replaced.

‘It sounds weird for me to be talking about teeth because I don’t live and breathe the way I look but every time I looked in the mirror, it just bummed me out as a reminder of what I had done for all those years,’ he said.

‘It’s nice to get a second chance. It was a no-brainer, I’m super glad I did it.’

Taking to Instagram last month to celebrate his return to work, Furlong posted images from the premiere of his latest film, horror flick Forest Hills.

The month prior, he shared a poignant image of his five-years sober landmark, admitting that he feared posting the image could be ‘jinxing’ himself.

‘From what I’ve seen sobriety is not something you win it’s something you continuously fight for,’ he continued in the post.

‘But making five years blows my mind, especially since I had never even made it a year before. If you’re struggling with sobriety just know, if I can make it this far anyone can.

‘All you need to do is decide you want to live and be willing to do anything to survive. Life can be really f****** hard sometimes but if you keep marching forward to make it to the greatest parts it’s all worth fighting for. Don’t give up.’

Speaking about being unexpectedly thrust into the spotlight after being cast in the role of John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day in 1991, Furlong said the role came as ‘a shock’.

‘I don’t know if I ever completely absorbed it. Picked up from nowhere, just auditioned for it and before I knew it, I was doing it. I was in the movie.

‘When I look back on it, I’m like damn, that’s pretty crazy. When I was younger, I was pretty driven and somehow manifested that into my life.

‘It was pretty awe-inspiring. I loved movies and I’d seen Terminator but had no idea how it was made.

‘I remember the first day like it was yesterday – getting up at four in the morning and really hating life.’

Behind the instant success, Furlong said he always felt like ‘I was pulling something over on everyone’ and was terrified people might find out who he really was.’

‘I had a lot of awesome things happen but everything comes with a price, nothing is free,’ he added.

‘When I was younger, I didn’t have too many people looking out for me and I was left to run wild. I didn’t know how to manage my money. If I was older, I wouldn’t have made so many bad decisions.’
