Chilling moment Chinese kids brutally stab dummies of enemy soldiers and train on toy grenades amid Taiwan tensions | The Sun
CHILLING footage shows Chinese kids stabbing dummies of enemy soldiers and hurling toy grenades amid mounting tensions with Taiwan.
The youngsters – wearing bright red hats with yellow words in typical Communist Party style – threw mock grenades, fired a mini anti-tank launcher, and learned how to use mortars.
Using bayonet-style weapons, footage showed the tots repeatedly stabbing straw soldiers dressed in Japanese World War Two uniforms – a nod to China's grudge against Japan for its invasion decades ago.
Another clip showed the kids marching down a street clutching their bayonets at Chinese troops watched on.
The children also rode in a small truck painted like a military personnel carrier and aimed toy rifles at a faux firing range.
Accompanied by a dramatic soundtrack, a man can be heard yelling: "China has almost perished! The people of Hunan will be the first to perish!"

"Mount your horses and kill the enemy! Those are the true colours of a man!"
The shocking footage gained traction after it was posted last month by US-based Chinese activist Jennifer Zeng.
According to Insider, the video was likely taken at a children's summer camp in Shaoyang, Hunan, called Red Sun.

The military-theme camp offers team-building and physical activities for children aged six to 16 – promising to teach kids how to identify gun parts and assembly mortar shells.
The training of the little soldiers comes amid growing tensions over fears Beijing will launch a bid to take over Taiwan, just as Russia has tried to do in Ukraine.
The self-governing island is regarded by China as being part of its territory and has vowed to re-unite it with the mainland by force if necessary.
Earlier this month, experts raised fears China had been cutting Taiwan’s internet cables as part of a “dry run” in attempts to terrorise the country ahead of a possible invasion.
Beijing has been accused of deploying its "dark fleet" of spy ships disguised as cargo vessels or fishing boats to carry out the attacks.
Recent months have seen an upsurge in Chinese military activity around Taiwan with warplanes and ships simulating sealing it off.
And the row over the "reunification" is a major flashpoint between Beijing and Washington.
US President Joe Biden has hinted the US would defend Taiwan in the event of an attack by China.
War between the two superpowers over the island has long been predicted to be a devastating conflict with global consequences.
Taiwan's foreign minister Joseph Wu said they are taking the military threat "very seriously".
China’s President Xi Jinping has vowed to take the islands by force if necessary and his forces have been carrying out regular invasion rehearsals.

And the consequences of such a move risks an escalation to full conflict – raising the terrifying spectre of nuclear war.
