Christian school teacher who ‘sexted teen student’ accused of twerking at prom
A former teacher at a Christian school arrested for “bombarding” a student with sex texts twerked on another teen at his prom, it is alleged.
Julie Kinsey Hoover, 39, is said to have encouraged the lad, then 17, to drink alcohol and rubbed her body against him at the Point of Grace Christian school's prom on April 8.
Hoover, who had taught at the school, in Perry, Florida in the US, since 2018, was arrested on Tuesday after an investigator spoke to an 18-year-old who made the allegations.

Taylor County Sheriff's Office said in a statement: "The former student informed the investigator that at the prom, Ms. Hoover pressured him to drink alcoholic beverages, and multiple times put the straw from an alcoholic drink in his mouth."
The unidentified student said she approached him on the dance floor multiple times "and began twerking on him (rubbing her buttocks on him)," the office said.
She now faces fresh charges of soliciting or engaging in lewd conduct with a student and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Jail records say Hoover was booked and released Tuesday. Her case included zero bond, according to records.
Hoover was arrested in June after it emerged she had “bombarded” another of her teenage students with sex text and was charged with soliciting sex with a student.
According to court documents, the mother of the student contacted the sheriff’s office on June 2 after finding explicit text messages between Hoover and her son.
Investigators said the text messages were exchanged in March and April 2022 when the student was enrolled in more than one class taught by Hoover.
Sheriff's Investigator Brian Cruse was investigating allegations of misconduct against Hoover when the second teen was interviewed, police said.
Cruse interviewed two witnesses who corroborated the teenager's story, the sheriff's office added.
