Dan Wootton denies allegations and claims he’s victim of a ‘smear campaign’ – but admits he made errors of judgement | The Sun
DAN Wootton has denied allegations made against him by an ex-partner and claimed he is the victim of a “smear campaign”.
The journalist, 40, opened his GB News show Dan Wootton Tonight on Tuesday telling viewers any criminal allegations made against him in recent days were “simply untrue”, but admitted errors of judgement had been made.
A report by Byline Times on Monday claimed the alleged behaviour happened over the course of a decade.
Addressing the claims last night, Wootton said: “As a journalist I feel uncomfortable being the story, but I’ve always promised you that this show has no spin and no bias and no censorship so I owe it to you to address this.
“These past few days I have been the target of a smear campaign by nefarious players with an axe to grind.
“Notably by an ex-partner who I was previously abused by and who has been on a campaign to destroy my life.
