‘I thought it would be funny’: Luxury dog kennel worker who hit Bebe Rexha in the face with a cell phone CONFESSED to attack that left the singer with stitches

The luxury dog kennel worker who allegedly hurled a phone at Bebe Rexha during a performance in New York City Sunday night was seen leaving Manhattan Criminal Court Monday.

Nicolas Malvagna, 27, was arrested after throwing his phone at the performer leaving her with a cut on her face that required three stitches.

Malvagna, who is from New Jersey, is facing two counts of assault, one count of harassment, one count of aggravated harassment, and one count of attempted assault after being arrested at around 11pm Sunday night.

According to the Manhattan DA’s office, Malvagna confessed to the crime and said: ‘I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.’

Dressed in grey shorts and a dark t-shirt, he was escorted by his attorneys out of the building. 

Rexha, 33, was playing a concert Sunday at The Rooftop at Pier 17 on her Best F’n Night Of My Life tour when she was struck in the face by a phone.

As seen in a Twitter video, the Back to You artist was seen singing and heading toward the front of the stage in a purple ensemble, with her blonde locks down.

As the Brooklyn native was facing the audience, a phone was seen hurtling toward her from the crowd and hitting her directly in the face.

After a moment of shock, the Grammy-nominated vocalist fell to her knees with her head down as multiple crew members in the wings rushed to her aid.

In a separate video, the man is found by security who pulled him out of the crowd and over the barrier.

Meanwhile, fans shouted ‘a**hole’ and ‘that is assault’ as he was taken away. 

The video was shared by a number of attendees of the concert in the Big Apple on Sunday. One under the handle @RossBernaud posted a video of the entertainer, whose full name is Bleta Rexha, being helped off the stage after the injurious incident.

As she was being tended to by medics and being led behind the curtain at the venue, Rexha gave the audience a wave.

‘This is Bebe Rexha being rushed out of the concert venue here in NYC after someone threw a f***ing phone and hit her face as she was leaving the stage,’ the Twitter user captioned the clip. ‘We were all having a hell of a good time and so was Bebe, we were all having a blast, I mean who would even do that??? We hope you’re ok @BebeRexha.’

A tweet from the account Pop Base read: ‘Bebe Rexha’s mother reveals that she had to get three stitches after someone in the audience threw a phone at her head during her concert.’

A number of Rexha’s fans took to Twitter to vent about the senseless attack on the pop star.

‘Bebe is literally one of the sweetest and most unproblematic people in the music industry she doesn’t deserve this… some of y’all really need to leave her alone omg,’ one fan wrote.

Another fan of the Baby, I’m Jealous performer wrote, ‘Absolutely great show ruined by a fan throwing their phone at @BebeRexha hopefully she is ok after that.’

One fan complained about the lack of decorum on the part of the fan who pitched the phone onstage, while another questioned why and how something like this could happen.

”Fans’ suck so bad because what do you mean Bebe Rexha had to go to the f***ing hospital and get stitches in her head because someone threw a phone at her and it hit her???? What the f***???’ the fan said.

Rexha had advertised Sunday’s show with a frame on her Instagram Stories 

Malvagna’s boss confirmed to DailyMail.com that he was involved in the incident, and that he had been working at the resort for six months.

In a statement, Judy Gorski the local franchise owner of K9 Resorts in East Brunswick said: ‘I understand one of our employees was attending the Bebe Rexha concert on his personal time.

‘I was shocked to learn of his arrest. My staff and I do not condone violence in any form, regardless of intent, and this action does not align with our values as a company.’
