Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been spotted stepping out for a sushi date – just one week after he dashed back to California from King Charles’ coronation to attend Archie’s fourth birthday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex smiled from ear to ear as they waltzed out of the Michelin-star restaurant Sushi Bar Montecito in Santa Barbara.

The Prince, who flew back to the UK to watch his father’s coronation last weekend, paired his monochrome outfit with sand-colored shoes.

After dining at the one-Michelin-star restaurant, Meghan and Harry are said to have turned the corner and left in a SUV, which was waiting for the couple outside the Montecito Inn on Coast Village Road.

According to its website, Sushi Bar Montecito is: ‘Chef Phillip Frankland Lee’s Omakase Restaurant that serves up a whimsy of its namesake fare in 17 courses.

‘Behind the door lies an intimate counter housing 10 prized seats where you will sit right up to the chef’s cutting boards.

‘Relax and enjoy as the chefs prepare a playful reverie on new wave nigiri and other delicacies from both land and sea in a free form interpretive take on the traditional sushi counter experience where you can expect unexpected riffs on beloved standards.’

The sushi restaurant will set you back $165 per person if you eat from their omakase menu – and diners have to set out a $25 deposit to secure a booking.

And the eatery has created an intimate dining experience for its clientele – with just one mini counter with seating for just ten people ‘to ensure a deeply personalized experience.’

‘Your time here is bound to pass in a blissful haze of convivial chatter,’ the Michelin guide reads.

This time last week, Meghan Markle was spotted hiking without her husband Prince Harry near their $14million Montecito mansion – hours after missing King Charles’ coronation.

The Duchess of Sussex was joined on the fresh-air outing by her friends, Markus Anderson and Heather Dorak, in California on Sunday after celebrating her son Archie’s birthday on Saturday.

It comes after it emerged that the King raised a glass to toast the fourth birthday of Prince Harry’s son Archie at Buckingham Palace in a moving tribute to the grandson he has barely seen.

Despite the ongoing acrimony with Harry, who was on a plane back to the US within hours of his father being crowned, emotional Charles made a point of mentioning his absent grandchildren as well as those present on his big day.

The poignant moment came at a private family gathering at the palace following his Westminster Abbey crowning and appearance on the balcony with Queen Camilla.

It is understood that an invitation had been politely extended to Harry to join the family lunch but he decided to return to California to celebrate Archie’s big day.

Meghan, 41, was dressed in an all-black athletic ensemble, along with a khaki jacket, which she tied around her waist during the outdoor excursion.

The mother-of-two also wore a wide-brimmed beige hat, pink neckerchief, and large sunglasses for the hike.

It was the first time she had been seen in public since her father-in-law’s coronation last Saturday.

Meghan was noticeably absent from the regal festivities in the UK last weekend, as she remained in the U.S. to celebrate her son Archie’s ‘lowkey’ birthday at their Montecito home.

Harry, who rushed back to California, did not seem to attend the hike.
