I’m at war with my nosy neighbour after they pointed SIX cameras at my house – here’s my genius trick to beat them | The Sun

A WOMAN has told how she is locked in a bitter war with her nosy neighbour after they pointed six security cameras at her house.

Furious Cristina M claims the "unreasonable" resident has invaded her privacy with the over-the-top surveillance system.

The homeowner, believed to be from the US, resorted to putting her own "revenge camera" up after becoming fed up with feeling like she was constantly being watched.

She decided to set up her own monitor in an "uncomfortable place" to give her nightmare neighbour a taste of his own medicine.

Cristina, who has been sharing TikTok videos regarding the street row, then shared a clip showing the bloke's barmy reaction.

He appeared to be infuriated by her retaliatory tactic and tried to daub the camera lens in spray paint to block her view.

Many social media users were left wondering what had triggered the clash between the neighbours, prompting Cristina to explain her motives in a follow-up video.

She shared a slideshow of images showing six cameras dotted around the perimeter of next door's property – that are all pointed at her house.

The small white monitors can be seen on top of several fences surrounding the man's home, as well as on the roof.

Cristina fumed: "I put my revenge camera up to give my neighbours a taste of what it feels like to have their privacy invaded.

"At one point, there were a total of six cameras pointed at my house."

Although people were impressed she was getting her own back on her nuisance neighbour, some suggested she should take it up a notch.

One savvy social media user had a genius idea on how to triumph in the security camera squabble.

TikTok user @Gh0stSolo told Cristina to use her neighbours choice of technology to her advantage.

He wrote: "Actually, since those are wireless cameras they have motion detection.

"Put up a bunch of those wind wheels that spin to trigger motion detection. The constant motion will keep triggering notifications and drain their batteries.

"Also, if you use bright lights like lawn flood lights, it messes them up.

"Most digital cameras can't process bright lights well and it either partially/mostly blinds the camera."

His comment gained hundreds of likes of approval from other users, while one applauded him saying: "You got all the right answers!"

Others shared their opinions of the neighbour row as well as their revenge ideas.

One wrote: "I would have held a sign that said, 'You want to play games? Figure out which trees now have cameras in them'."

Another commented: "That's an invasion of privacy, you can't point a camera at someone else's house."

A third said: "Fun fact – if you put reflective tape on a poster board it will blind the camera, it will record but it will be a blank white spot."

A fourth wrote: "We had the same happen to us! Cops wouldn't do anything. We sold our home and moved."

And a fifth joked: "I love all the hacks everyone is leaving to mess with the neighbour's cameras. I'm taking notes!"
