Man, 32, in court charged with ‘stabbing his wife to death at home’ before going on the run | The Sun

A HUSBAND has appeared in court charged with stabbing his wife to death after he was found 70 miles from home with knife wounds.

Police discovered mum-of-two Diana Dafter, 36, dead at a property in Northampton shortly after midday last Friday.

It came after her husband Phillip Dafter, 32, was taken to hospital with stab wounds from Euston Station in London.

He appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court today charged with murdering Diana.

Dafter was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the town's crown court on Tuesday.

He was taken to hospital under police guard after he was found by officers from British Transport Police at Euston.

A post mortem confirmed Diana died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Tributes have flooded in for student nurse Diana, who had two children.

A GoFundMe page has been launched to send her back to her native Malawi.

The organiser wrote: "She was a lovely person who got on well with everybody around her.

"We would like to take her body home (Malawi) where her mother wants her to rest.

"This will help the family to find closure following this tragic loss."
