A MAN and a woman have died following a horror crash as three others were rushed to hospital.

Emergency crews raced to the A85 at Dalmally, Argyll, at around 2pm yesterday.

The smash involved a red Audi Q2 and a grey Ford Mondeo.

The female driver, aged 69 and the male passenger, aged 70, in the Audi were pronounced dead at the scene.

The three male occupants of the Ford Mondeo were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for around eight and a half hours to allow for investigations to be carried out.

Cops have now appealed to anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the two people who have died.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area and may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
