A MAN has claimed his teen nephew and best pal are dead because cops chased the pair – as police boss admits the boys may have been followed.
Kyrees Sullivan, 16, and Harvey Evans, 15, were tragically killed on Monday night in Ely, Cardiff, when the electric bike they were on crashed.
Their deaths sparked riots on the residential street after rumours that officers were to blame for the smash started spreading.
Footage from a RingDoorbell cam time-stamped at 5.59pm shows two young lads racing down the road, shortly followed by a police van.
At 6.03pm, cops received reports of a collision.
Kyrees' uncle has since told of his heartbreak as he claims his nephew would still be alive if they hadn't been "chased".

He told The Times: "My nephew and his best mate are dead because they chased him on a little electric motorbike."
It's understood the teenagers were riding a £4,000 Surron e-bike.
The boys drove through an area, which had bollards, to try and escape police, a family member has claimed.
At a press conference yesterday South Wales police admitted they had "received CCTV footage which shows a police vehicle following a bike just prior to 6pm".

They added: "This footage is being recovered as part of the investigation which will assist us in piecing together the circumstances leading up to the collision."
Chief Superintendent Martin Snow said: "At 6.03pm we received a report of a serious collision which resulted in the death of two boys.
"An electric bike has been seized from the scene. We've received CCTV of police following a bike.
"This is being used in the investigation.
"When the collision occurred there were no police on Snowdon Road. We do not believe any other vehicles were involved."
Alun Michael, crime commissioner for South Wales, had previously rubbished the claims of a pursuit on Tuesday morning.
And on Wednesday he told BBC Radio 4 Today he is "still assured youths were not being chased".
He said: "Information emerged after we had done the interview [on Tuesday] which has to be investigated, and the question has to be asked of whether there is a connection between earlier events and the road traffic accident itself.
"We have to look at the facts of what actually happened on Monday. I am assured and I am still assured youths were not being chased by the police at the time of the road traffic accident.
"The road traffic accident is being carefully investigated but there wasn't a police vehicle in the road where and when the actual accident happened.
"The impression that was given was that of youngsters being chased by the police and an accident happened, an immediate one to the other.
"That I am still assured is not what happened but information emerged of the vehicle and the youngsters in the same street, a different street, shortly before the event, that of course then comes into something that should be investigated."
When broadcaster Martha Kearney suggested that this leaves open the possibility of a police chase, he replied: "It leaves open the possibility.
"I was assured there was not police chasing the individuals at the time the accident happened.
"That there may have been something earlier is of course something that should be fully investigated."

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) have since made the decision to launch a probe into the double deaths.
South Wales Police referred themselves on Tuesday night after the CCTV was revealed.
An IPOC spokesperson said: "We will be examining any interaction between the police and the boys after CCTV footage emerged apparently showing a police vehicle following a bike prior to the incident."
One witness told The Sun the force are lying about what happened.
They said: "The police have lied. I watched it in front of me.
"They were chasing the two boys on the bike — why I don’t know.
"If they didn’t chase them, then they wouldn’t have died.
"That footage is evidence, you can see they are speeding after them.
"That’s what the police are like around here anyway.
"They will bully, chase and do whatever they can to all the little kids around here.
"It’s disgusting. They won’t respond now they were caught out. I saw it for myself."
Tributes have since been paid to the two pals with hundreds of flowers laid at the scene of the crash as the community gathered.
Kyrees' mum Belinda Sullivan, 42, told of her heartbreak as her son lay dead in the street for hours as rioters lobbed fireworks.

Hundreds of flowers were today laid at the scene of the crash as the community gathered.
One young man who went to pay his respects said: "[The police] are trying to hide what really happened. The video is as clear as day."
