Former Hollywood couple Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have hit out at ‘false and scurrilous’ claims made by the woman who used to be their children’s nanny.

She made a series of allegations about their break-up, prompting the pair to accuse their former member of staff of waging an 18-month harassment campaign against them.

Yesterday the former couple, who have son Otis, eight, and daughter Daisy, six, said: ‘As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us.

Harry and Olivia made headlines after they were seen attending Harry’s agent’s wedding as a couple for the first time on January 2, 2021 at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California

‘Her now 18 month-long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.

‘We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.’

In one of her claims, the nanny told the Mail that Sudeikis, 47, ‘went outside and lay under [Miss Wilde’s] car so she wouldn’t leave’.

She said the actor was particularly upset because Miss Wilde, 38, was leaving with a salad for Harry Styles, who was starring in her movie Don’t Worry Darling, which she was directing.

Miss Wilde and Styles, 28, met while working on the movie in Los Angeles and are now reportedly planning on living together in London.

She began dating Sudeikis – the star of Apple TV’s comedy series Ted Lasso, about an American football coach training an English team – in 2011 and they got engaged in 2013.

Their split was first reported in 2020 and she has said their relationship ‘was over long before I met Harry’.

It comes after claims that Miss Wilde had a fractious relationship with Don’t Worry Darling’s leading lady, Florence Pugh.

It was said that the Oxford-born actress, 26, was upset about Miss Wilde and Styles’s relationship on set, among other things.

In April, Miss Wilde was handed custody documents during an on-stage appearance in Las Vegas.

She denounced the move on Sudeikis’s behalf as ‘aggressive’, but he claimed he had no knowledge of when the papers would be served.

The couple’s united front against the nanny comes after she told DailyMail.com that their split in 2020 was not as amicable as they had claimed.

Despite Wilde’s insistence that her split from Sudeikis was ‘initially friendly,’ the nanny claimed that it left the blindsided Ted Lasso star distraught and ranting to the employee about their split and her decision to date British singer Harry Styles.

Wilde moved out of the family home and into a hotel before beginning to date Styles, the nanny claimed.

The former employee claimed Sudeikis only discovered the full details of Wilde’s relationship with Styles by reading messages on an Apple watch Wilde had left behind.

On one occasion, the nanny claimed that Wilde infuriated Sudeikis by preparing a salad for Styles with her ‘special dressing’ in the family kitchen – leaving him ranting furiously at her and filming the encounter, before he tried to prevent her from leaving ‘by lying under her car’.

The nanny claimed: ‘[Wilde] went back into the house and he went in, it was back and forth. He said he was doing it on purpose to make her late going to see Harry.’

Wilde, 38, has always insisted that she and Sudeikis parted ways in early 2020 and her relationship with former One Direction star Styles started months later. She told Vanity Fair: ‘The complete horses**t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate. Our relationship was over long before I met Harry.’

Sudeikis and Wilde began dating in 2011 and became engaged in 2013. They share two children, son Otis, eight, and daughter Daisy, six.

The nanny said she never noticed problems with her employers’ relationship during the three years she spent working for the family.
