  • Socialite Paris Hilton’s Met Gala entrance was blocked by angry climate change  protestors who sat and laid in front of her car
  • The protestor’s held a sign in front of the billionaire’s car that read, ‘The 1% are killing the climate’
  • The heiress’ brushed off the delay and stunned in a leather Marc Jacobs dress

Heiress Paris Hilton’s grand Met Gala entrance was blocked by angry climate change protestors who laid in front of her vehicle.

Hilton, 42, attended the grand New York City bash for the first time and brought the drama with her.

Angry protestors were seen in a video posted to Twitter blocking the socialite while holding a sign that read, ‘The 1% are killing the climate.’

Police attempted to clear the blockage as the demonstrators were chanting ‘We want it now’ in response to an inaudible call. It’s unclear if any other guests were blocked.

The small disruption didn’t stop the billionaire from arriving on the red carpet and stunning an off-the-shoulder leather dress.

Hilton arrived all smiles at the Gala and brushed off the delay.

She made her first-ever debut at the iconic event wearing a black gown made by Marc Jacobs and styled her look around the extravaganza dress code in honor of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Her off-the-shoulder long-sleeve dress was finished off with a train and shimmering platform heels. Around her neck, Hilton styled an elegant flower bow.

The heiress’ chic look was finished off with a smokey eye makeup look that complemented her slicked-back high ponytail.

The socialite prepared her nearly 24million followers for her grand arrival by reminiscing upon her past with Lagerfeld, who died in 2019.

In a series of photos, Hilton showed herself smiling alongside Lagerfeld, who served as the creative designer for Chanel and Fendi.

‘Karl has always been a fashion inspiration to me,’ Hilton wrote on Instagram. Such an icon and innovator. Love that he is the theme of this years.

Hilton pampered herself leading up to gala and treated herself to a lymphatic massage from Flavia Lavinia.

The heiress wasn’t the only one indulging in self-care.

Kim Kardashian’s thoughtful daughter, North West, helped her mom de-stress ahead of New York’s biggest event.

The nine-year-old decorated her mom’s with white flowers and lit candles.

Meanwhile, Elle Fanning posed in her nightgown with her flaxen hair pulled back as she held up a green smoothie. The star had on a face mask.

‘Bottoms up Met,’ she wrote over the photo.
