Plane carrying newborn baby and young boy deploys parachute in dramatic footage

This is the dramatic moment a small plane made a safe landing after the pilot deployed a parachute to bring the jet to ground.
Video shared by Aeroin on Twitter shows a single-engine Cirrus SR22 plane descending with a huge red and white parachute on top.
The jet, carrying six people including a three-year-old and a newborn, took a tumble when it hit the mountain near the city of Belo Horizonte in Brazil on March 11.

Locals near the crash site filmed the emergency landing and shared the footage on WhatsApp chat groups.
The plane was equipped with a Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) for pilots to propel a parachute to protect all occupants while taking the aircraft slowly to the ground.
According to an incident report on Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association website, the report stated: "A Cirrus SR22 GTS G6 platinum force-landed in rural terrain east of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, following deployment of the CAPS.
"Six people were on board including four adults, a three-year-old child and a three-day-old newborn; no one was hurt.
"The aircraft departed from Belo Horizonte – Carlos Drummound de Andrade Airport at 14:28 UTC.
"The aircraft reached a maximum altitude of 7,000ft at 14:35, after which it began a descending turn back towards the airport.
"Pilot reported loss of engine power during cruise, attempted return to airport, and activated CAPS when realising there was insufficient glide range."
A spokesperson for the Minas Gerais Military Fire Department added: "The entire crew was conscious, oriented, and without apparent injuries."
Emergency crews were alerted and arrived to transfer the pilot and passengers to hospital for check-up.
Some viewers were shocked and praised the parachute system for saving lives.
One said: "Unbelievable. Hats off to the engineers who made this happen. Truly inspiring."
"This kind of technology must be in all the planes, it will save so many lives," another added.
