Residents of a seaside town are chuckling over a bizarre photograph of a man asleep on top of a car while dressed only in his pants and blue socks.
CCTV captured the image of the half-naked reveller in a private car park behind New Parade in Cromer, Norfolk in the early hours of Sunday morning, after nearby residents had reported hearing ‘commotion’ throughout the night.
Carpenter Tom Selby, 23, decided to investigate the disturbance after waking up to find a pile of empty bottles in the car park.
While checking his CCTV camera in his first floor flat, the ‘confused’ 23-year-old spotted the almost naked man napping on the roof of the car.

Locals believe he passed out on top of the silver hatchback car in soaring temperatures after an apparent night of ‘commotion’ and heavy drinking.
Mr Selby said: ‘I am quite a heavy sleeper, so I didn’t hear anything during the night, although other people reported hearing a bit of noise.
‘I was just curious about what had been going on. I scrolled through the recording, and then found this guy passed out.
‘It seems like he could be in love with his car just a little too much. It was surprising to say the least.
‘He was obviously drunk, and had passed out face down on the roof. I have no idea if it was his car, but there was no evidence of damage.
‘I don’t know who he was or where he went afterwards. I just thought it was an amusing picture.
‘He seemed to have been subjected to quite a violet wedgie. Who knows how he ended up in that position?
‘I was a bit confused as to why he was in his socks and pants. It’s a first for me I have to admit. I just found the whole thing funny.’

‘Captured in CCTV, can anyone help me to identify this odd man?’ he asked in the caption on the Sheringham Community Noticeboard page.
Social media users took to the comments section to take a guess at what the man could have been doing, with one suggesting, ‘My guess is he’s soon going to get married.’
Another jokingly replied, ‘I’d say he is marrying his car soon!’
A different user seemed to think there was little remarkable about the incident, writing, ‘Just cooling down. Nothing odd. Nice cool roof to lay on.’
One more wrote, ‘He’s having a Fiesta, after his siesta!’
