Shocking pics show building COLLAPSED on car after BMW horror crash as cops race to scene | The Sun
A PROPERTY has collapsed on top of a BMW after the car struck the building in a horror crash.
Shocking pictures show the vehicle covered in rubble at an address on Canterbury Street in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.
Emergency services are at the scene and local residents have been evacuated.
The female BMW driver managed to free herself and no other casualties have been reported, according to the emergency services.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The woman was arrested for drink driving.

The owner of the electrical store, Alan Fish, spoke about his disbelief that another car had destroyed his property – for the second time in only four months.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "I was in the shop just five minutes before and nipped across to my garage – then I heard this bang. I couldn't believe it had happened again."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 6.45pm on Thursday 5 January, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Canterbury Street, Ashton.
“Two fire engines from Ashton and Stalybridge stations, as well as the technical rescue unit from Ashton, quickly attended the scene. The incident involved a car colliding with a house causing significant structural damage.

“The driver had freed herself from the car prior to crews’ arrival and is being treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS). No other casualties have been reported.
“Firefighters remain in attendance, working with emergency service colleagues and Tameside Council to make the area safe.”
