Trump ally Steve Bannon is SWATTED during his podcast: Claims cyberbullies want ‘suicide by police’ as DC cops are called to his Capitol Hill home

  • Steve Bannon, a top ally of former President Donald Trump, was swatted Thursday while he was on-air recording his War Room show
  • Swatting is a dangerous cyberbullying tactic – and Bannon has been a target before
  • It’s when a calls describes a violent episode at the target’s address, hoping to provoke an armed response from police

Steve Bannon, a top ally of former President Donald Trump, was swatted Thursday while he was on-air recording his War Room show.

Bannon was the victim of a dangerous cyberbullying tactic, in which a caller will describe a violent episode happening at the address of the target, hoping to provoke an armed response from police.

The former Trump White House chief strategist was swatted at least twice last year as well.

‘What they’re trying to do on the swats is they’re trying to have suicide by police,’ Bannon said. ‘They’re trying to make sure that something happens here that one of the police officers gets concerned about what’s going on and actually starts off firing.’

Bannon called D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department ‘savvy’ that he was being targeted, because calls have been made to his Capitol Hill address before.

The former White House official lives in a brick row home on a quiet street behind the Supreme Court that was nicknamed the ‘Breitbart Embassy’ for years.

In it’s heyday, the Breitbart staff would host raucous parties featuring novelties like a Mariachi band or a miniature horse.

On Thursday morning, Bannon had a lot of fresh content to discuss on his War Room program on the heels of Trump’s return to CNN Wednesday night for a New Hampshire town hall event with Kaitlan Collins.

Instead of being able to play those clips, however, he said he was interrupted by law enforcement.

‘We are going to break the performance down, last night, more in the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. show, whereas I was gonna try to do [it] this morning, but there’s so much going on – including the fact we got swatted in the middle of the show when I was in the “C” block in the first hour,’ Bannon said.

‘I’m telling my team, “Hey, can you knock it off?” I’ve got to concentrate here.” We’re actually getting swatted here,’ he continued.

Bannon’s D.C. home is a well-known address, tucked on a quiet street behind the Supreme Court. It was long nicknamed the ‘Breitbart embassy’ and hosted raucous parties

The ex-White House official said that those responsible were being investigated and called them ‘criminals.’

‘They’re criminals and here’s why – they fear this audience. They understand that this is ascendant. And what they’re gonna try to do is take any voice, whether it’s Donald Trump or Tucker Carlson or Steve Bannon of the War Room, they’re gonna try to eliminate all those voices,’ Bannon said.

‘They understand that an informed electorate is an electorate that will demand consent to the governed. And the governed right now are not consenting to this, whether it’s on the southern border of this country, or what other investigations,’ the strategist added.
