A bondage-loving middle-aged mum who ran a fetish Facebook page has walked free from court after hoarding indecent images of children.
When Julie Barnes’s Cheshire home was raided by police they seized her mobile phone and analysis revealed the sickening child abuse images.
She told police that the images had been sent to her fetish page, Rosie Cheek, by fans ‘purely due to the nature of the account.’
A judge today accepted that the 57-year-old had not sought the images and they were found in a cache folder which she could not access.
But she told her, ‘This was disgraceful and shameful behaviour.’

Derek Jones, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court that, ‘She had seen them and deleted them.’
Barnes, of Coronation Drive, Widnes, pleaded guilty to making a total of 47 indecent images in all three categories of seriousness, possessing those images and possessing three prohibited computer generated images.
Mr Jones said police raided her home on December 23, 2021 following intelligence that indecent images were being uploaded on a Facebook account.They located her via an IP address.
The images found on her Samsung phone included girls as young as seven being raped and a five-year-old boy also being raped.
‘When interviewed she provided a prepared statement and accepted possession of the images but stated they were not sought by her.’
Jim Smith, defending, said that Barnes has no previous convictions and only eight images were in the most serious category.
‘This perhaps an unconventional case,’he said.
‘The nature of the work she involved herself in was a by-product of loneliness.’
On the page she posted images of herself in negligees, but also hoarded indecent images of children
On the website Barnes posted a picture of a cat-o-nine tails alongside the caption: ‘I want it.. beautiful’
She also posted other bondage-themed photos, including this one showing an item adorned with the word ‘slave’

He described her as a loving mum-of-two who has mental health and physical health impediments and had been affectedly life events.
Barnes, who walks with the aid of two sticks, wiped away tears in the dock.
Mr Smith said she had done voluntary work and impressed friends ‘despite many difficulties and hardships that she has encountered throughout her life.’
The judge, Recorder Tania Griffiths KC, said that while the charges spanned three years the prosecution could not say when they began and the last image was in May 2021, six months before her arrest.
She said she accepted ‘due to loneliness rather than sexual interest in children you set up a Facebook fetish account in which you accept there was the potential risk of this sort of material being sent to you*..you created circumstances where receipt of this information was likely.
‘I accept you are remorseful and it was due to loneliness but that is no comfort to children in these awful offences.’
She imposed an 18 month community order and ordered her to carry out 20 days rehabilitation activities. She imposed a five year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered her to sign the Sex Offenders Register for the same length of time.
The judge warned her, ‘This must never happen again, no matter how lonely.If you commit further offences of this nature the attitude of the court will be very different than it was today.’
On her fetish site, believed to have since been deleted, Barnes called herself ‘Big Blonde and Beautiful’ and posted pictures of herself in negligees.
Her own personal Facebook page showed slave themed bondage photos along with a cat-o-nine tails alongside the caption: ‘I want it.. beautiful.’ But Barnes later told one fan: ‘Am not getting it, no one to play with xx.’
