A woman has shared a video of her being questioned by airport police after being kicked off a flight for wearing a crop top that revealed her stomach. She claimed she was “harassed and detained” despite being in line with the dress code.

In the video, which has been viewed more than a million times, Ray Lin Howard – who also goes by rap name Fat Trophy Wife – describes what happened on the plane to a police officer.

She said she was approached three times by flight attendants about her outfit before police marched her off the plane in front of her child.

She was wearing a purple leopard-print t-shirt over a sports bra, and referenced only being in the sports bra earlier in the flight.

The caption on the TikTok video read: “I was escorted off the plane by police tonight, how’s your night going?”

She added: “@Alaska Airlines Flight attendant harassed and called the airport police on me for my inappropriate outfit.”

At the beginning of the interview, the police officer clarifies whether she had her t-shirt off at some point.

She gestures to a sports bra and said: “Yeah, I had this on. They asked me to put my shirt on. [I] put the shirt back on, and then they approached me again.

“Saying that I can’t wear this, my stomach is showing, and it’s inappropriate. And I said I’m covered up, I’m fine, and she just kept going.

“And I said if you’re going to kick me off, then kick me off. I’ve done what you asked me to do. I want you to leave me alone.

“That was the third time they approached me about my outfit. About wearing this outfit. That’s why you were called, because of this.”

The police officer insisted that Ms Howard was not in “any criminal trouble” but wanted to get her side of the story.

The officer said: “We’re just trying to figure out if there were any crimes and I’m not hearing any.”

But, he said: “They have policies for dress code.”

Ms Howard replied: “I did follow the policy though … I’m within the dress code. I’m being harassed and now I’m being detained.

“You guys come and pull me off the plane in front of my child, that’s detained.”

“I wore an outfit, that’s what happened,” Ray quipped. “And that’s all I’m trying to determine,” the officer said.

Nearly all of the comments were in support of the rapper, with one person saying: “ALASKA AIRLINES HAD DONE IT AGAIN. They did this to me and I am currently suing!!”

A second TikTok user wrote: “LAWSUIT!!!! and they are 100 percent losing.” A third added: “He sounds so nervous because he knows they were wrong.”
