Young girl, 4, found dead in house as cops probe 'unexplained' tragedy | The Sun
COPS are investigating the death of a four-year-old girl in a Scots town.
Emergency services raced to a property on Eastwood Avenue, in Stranraer, at around 6.10am this morning.
Officers also scrambled to the property after receiving reports of an"unresponsive" child.
When they arrived, the young girl was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
But, tragically, she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The circumstances behind the young girl's death are not currently known.
However, police have confirmed that they are treating it as 'unexplained'.
Officers are now carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances behind the death.
A heavy police presence had been spotted at the property since this morning.
Photos from the scene show ambulance crews are also currently at the scene.

Officers were also seen guarding the property and blocked anyone from accessing the home.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.10am on Sunday, 16 July, 2023 officers were called to a report of an unresponsive child at an address on Eastwood Avenue, Stranraer.
“Emergency services attended, and the 4-year-old girl was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.”
