Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-July 2022, starting with this actor… On July 17, Johnny Depp sparked rumors that he has a new girlfriend when he arrived for rehearsals preceding the Umbria Jazz Festival at the Arena Santa Giuliana in Perugia, Italy, with a pretty redheaded mystery-woman. (See her here.) According to an E! News source, however, she’s simply a colleague: Johnny’s companion was “a member of the staff” on the set of “Jeanne du Barry,” which the A-list actor is currently shooting in France. “She is his French teacher and there is no romantic connection whatsoever,” the source said.

On July 19, E! News reported that, according to a source, Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker are “fully back together” after briefly splitting last month. “They worked out their issues and decided they want to move forward and be together. … They moved on and it’s going really well. They have been spending a lot of time together recently,” said the source, who also confirmed recent speculation that the NBA star “was [Kendall’s] date” to a friend’s wedding in Napa, California, over the weekend of July 16. (Kendall took to her Instagram Story during the wedding to share a mirror selfie showing Devin posing behind her with his hand placed on her hip, though she cropped their heads out of the shot.) The professional basketball player also joined the reality star during a recent vacation in Hawaii. Kendall took to Instagram on July 14 to share a slideshow of photos and videos from the trip including a clip showing Devin’s arm and leg as he rode in the passenger seat of a convertible with her. (Fans speculated that another video shows the athlete swimming in the ocean behind the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum.) The duo started sparking reconciliation rumors in late June — less than a week after multiple media outlets reported that they’d called it quits.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, on July 16 and tied the knot at Las Vegas’s drive-through Little White Wedding Chapel just after midnight on July 17 — nearly two decades after they were first set to become husband and wife in September 2003. “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” the bride wrote in her OnTheJLo newsletter while sharing photos and videos from their super-intimate nuptials, which she described as “exactly what we wanted.” She wore “a dress from an old movie,” she revealed, while Ben donned a jacket from his closet. They “gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” she wrote, adding that “love is a great thing, maybe the best of things — and worth waiting for.” She signed off, “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck,” indicating she officially took her new husband’s last name — which legal documents later confirmed. The following day, Page Six reported that, according to a source, the wedding was “very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur-of-the-moment” because J.Lo “wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP!” Said the source, “[She’s] been ready to get married since the night that Ben proposed.” Only two of the couple’s five children were reportedly on hand during the drive-through ceremony: The “Marry Me” star’s child Emme and the Oscar winner’s daughter Seraphina.

According to an “Entertainment Tonight” source, the chart-topper and the brunette beauty have been “yacht hopping” together in the French Riviera. “They’re having fun together. They are sweet, whispering in each other’s ears and laughing,” said the source, adding that Drake and Suede run in the same social circles and have known each other for a while. “Their friends think they make a cute couple and have been rooting for them to hang out more,” said the insider.

On July 18, Page Six confirmed recent speculation that Anya Taylor-Joy and musician Malcolm McRae secretly tied the knot earlier this year. The duo reportedly exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at an American courthouse sometime before the “Queen’s Gambit” actress traveled to Australia in June to continue shooting the upcoming “Mad Max” prequel “Furiosa.” Rumors that Anya and Malcolm had quietly gotten engaged first kicked off in late June.

On the July 19 episode of Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Kristin Cavallari revealed that she’s been “actively dating” since March and has “actually been on quite a few dates” recently. “My DMs have essentially been my dating app,” she said, adding that “unfortunately,” she’s “only gonna go for the verified” accounts. “I can’t filter through all of my DMs, but I can see those blue checkmarks, honey!” she quipped, noting that her “ideal guy” is not a celebrity but rather “a businessman who no one knows.” The mother of three recently went “on a date with a businessman in Nashville,” she admitted, according to Page Six, though she didn’t sound optimistic about the date going anywhere because she doesn’t “like people that often,” is “pretty picky” when it comes to men and plans to “stay picky” because she’s “not gonna settle.” The reality star went on to say that she’s managed to “keep things on the DL lately” while secretly dating multiple men. In the two years since K.Cav and ex-husband Jay Cutler called it quits, she’s dated country music star Chase Rice and comedian Jeff Dye.

On the July 13 episode of Caroline Standbury’s “Divorced Not Dead” podcast, Meghan King dropped a major bombshell about her super-short union with President Joe Biden’s nephew Cuffe Biden Owens — which she labeled “a mistake.” Said the former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star, “We rushed into it. I didn’t even want to get married again. But it was important to him … and I’m a lover and I want everybody to be happy. I learned some big lessons from that mistake. I’m sure he did as well.” She went on to say that she was “confused” by what went wrong with the attorney, whom she wed following a whirlwind courtship of just a month. Ultimately, she said, she’d glad their marriage was “short and sweet” — and that it’s now annulled. (They’re no longer in contact, she said.) Meghan also noted on the podcast that she and her second husband, Jim Edmonds, have “a worse relationship” now than they did when they first called it quits in late 2019. (Their divorce was notoriously nasty.)

According to Vogue, which published exclusive wedding photos, Jay Ellis and his partner of seven years, model-actress Nina Senicar, tied the knot at Villa Mangiacane in Tuscany, Italy, on July 9 — more than three and a half years after they got engaged in Bali in January 2019. The “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Insecure” actor and the Serbian beauty welcomed daughter Nora in 2019 and postponed their original wedding plans twice amid the pandemic.

Over the weekend of July 15, John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh exchanged vows for the second time (this time in front of family and friends!) at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver — the city where they met and fell in love in 2019. The duo — who first tied the knot at an attorney’s office in Tampa, Florida, nearly two years ago — were forced to delay their big wedding plans amid the pandemic.

On July 14, Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn took to Instagram to publicly celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. “15 Years Today! This one puts up with my Mommy Issues, cheapness and is infinitely out of my league. INFINITELY. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Love ya, Babe!” the former child star captioned a photo of himself and the model-actress taking a dip. Rebecca, meanwhile, captioned a slideshow of photos with her hubby, “Still smiling after all these years. Happy 15th Anniversary @mrjerryoc. Love you!!”

During an appearance on Jim Norton and Sam Roberts’ SiriusXM show that hit YouTube on July 15, Dave Coulier shared his thoughts on ex-girlfriend Alanis Morissette’s hit 1995 single “You Oughta Know” — which was inspired by their relationship. He was driving in Detroit when he heard the song on the radio for the very first time: “I’m listening to the lyrics going, ‘Oh no, I can’t be this guy!'” he recalled, adding that he immediately bought Alanis’s “Jagged Little Pill” album from a record store, “parked on a street” and “listened to the whole record” then and there. “There was a lot of familiar stuff in there that [we] had talked about. … So I started listening to it and I thought, ‘I think I may have really hurt this woman.'” He and Alanis ultimately reconnected “years later” and “she couldn’t have been sweeter.” The “Full House” alum went on to gush about his ex, saying, “I’ve never had anything bad to say about her. She’s lovely.”
