Kate and William’s return to work date revealed – after Harry blasts couple

William and Kate Middleton will be returning to work this week after an extended break over Christmas and New Year.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, who celebrates her 41st birthday today, will give a joint appearance for their next engagement, although it is hasn't been publicly announced what it will be.

Kate and William have spent a quiet Christmas and New Year with their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four.

It is sure to be an engagement-packed year for the royal couple who are now two of the most prominent members of the royal family, behind William's father King Charles and his wife Camilla Queen Consort.

It's no doubt been a testing week for the couple, after William has largely been on the receiving end of many barbs from his brother, Prince Harry 38.

Harry's ghostwritten Memoir, Spare, is officially set to be released on 10 January, however, it hit shelves in Spain days early, with plenty of shocking extracts being released over the past few days.

In it, Harry goes into detail about his fractured relationship with the brother to whom he was once thought to be so close.

In one particular story to come out of the book was that Harry alleges his brother, Prince William "physically attacked" him in a row at Harry's London home in 2019, where Harry alleges William "knocked" him to the ground and called Harry's wife Meghan "rude", "abrasive" and "difficult."

Following exchanged insults, Harry claims William said he was trying to help, to which he responded: "Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?”

Moving to the kitchen, he got his brother a glass of water, which William set down before allegedly calling Harry "another name, then came at me."

"It all happened so fast," he wrote in the book. "So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me.

"I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

Prince Harry has further laid bare the brothers' frosty relationship in a TV interview with Tom Bradby, which aired on ITV on 8 January, where Harry revealed he is currently “not texting” William, and that he has not spoken to his father for “quite a while”.

“Do you speak to William now, do you text?” Anderson Cooper asked him.

“Currently, no, but I look forward to us being able to find peace,” Harry replied.

Asked how long it had been since he had spoken to his father King Charles, he said: “We haven’t spoken for quite a while, no, not recently.”
