Katie Price leaves fans concerned as she quits social media with cryptic post

Katie Price has left fans feeling concerned after she informed her 2.7 million followers on Instagram that she would be quitting the platform among others for "a period of time".

The Only Fans model, 44, explained that she needed "to take time off for personal reasons" before going onto thank her "loyal fans" for their support.

Katie posted a statement over a black background which read: "I will be coming off all social media for a period of time.

"I need to take some time off for personal reasons. Thank you to all my loyal fans for always supporting me."

She ended her statement by adding three kisses. It's unclear why Katie has chosen to take a step back from social media but her most recent post before deciding to quit was bombarded with negative comments.

The post showed the 44 year old and former Love Island star Hannah Elizabeth posing for an exclusive photoshoot but a large portion of the comments section accused Katie of using photoshop and labelled her as "desperate".

As well as experiencing trolling online she has had a turbulent few months after admitting to breaching a restraining order against her ex Kieran Hayler's fiancée Michelle Penticost.

After being informed she could face a possible five year prison sentence she was instead ordered to carry out 170 hours of unpaid work.

A friend of the glamour model told OK! that she had been "petrified" at being taken away from her children.

The source told us: “She was is extremely relieved to have escaped a jail sentence. She feels as if if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

“Katie knows what she did was wrong. She feels huge remorse for her actions and couldn’t bear the idea of being taken away from her children. The idea of going to jail petrified her.

“Katie is learning to deal with her emotions and become a better person. She is an extremely emotional person.”

And in early July, Katie appeared in court again but this time she saw her speeding charges dropped after she had previously been charged with one count of exceeding the 60mph speed limit on 13 September 2021, and one count of failing to provide information on 26 January this year.

The two charges were heard at a case management hearing at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where they were dismissed as “no evidence was offered”.
