Mark Wright, 36, has spoken out on the “scary moment” he thought “something bad” had happened to his dad Mark Wright Sr, as the pair filmed their show A Wright Old Adventure.

The son and father duo were filming a bungee jumping scene when the former The Only Way Is Essex star said he saw his dad had “passed out”.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk on the panic-inducing moment, Mark said: “We did a bungee jump and I saw my dad pass out.

“We saw the medics of the show run off to get a defibrillator because they thought something bad had happened.

“Me and my brother were sat at the top of this bungee ramp just panicking like mad.”

“There were a lot of scary moments,” he added.

The show on BBC One tomorrow follows Mark, his dad, 65, and younger brother Joshua Wright, 33 as they explore the UK.

Mark revealed how filming together had been a “bonding experience” for the famous family.

This was especially so as it came following the death of Mark’s uncle Eddie from Covid in 2021.

Mark said: “It’s a really heartfelt show, trying to get my dad away after everything he’s lost.

“That was really incredible and probably the best thing I’ve ever done, just because I spent time with two of my best mates.”

He added: “I’ve been away with my work a lot, and Josh is a footballer, so he is away a lot, and my dad does what he does, so for it to be just the three of us on the road for six or seven weeks was amazing.

“We thought it was a great opportunity to show how many amazing things there are in England.”

Elsewhere Mark is keen on his fitness and enjoys a healthy snack between meals to keep him feeling fuller for longer.

Speaking on the secret behind his incredibly toned physique, Mark revealed: “I love whole foods like almonds – they are great on-the-go and tick so many nutritional boxes with fibre, good fats and polyphenols, all of which are thought to support gut health.

“Such an easy way to up your nutrient intake and support your health.”

Mark Wright has partnered with California Almonds to encourage Brits to open up about gut health and learn more about how almonds can maintain a healthy gut.

A Wright Old Adventure airs tomorrow on BBC One at 8pm.
