Perry Farrell Injury Forces Jane’s Addiction To Cancel Shows

Jane’s Addiction have been forced to cancel some shows on their “Spirits on Fire” arena tour with Smashing Pumpkins after lead singer Perry Farrell suffered an injury after the alternative rock band’s performance in New York City.

The news was revealed by none other than Farrell on Instagram on Monday. “Friends and lovers, the tour so far has been an absolute blast. Filled with so much joy, and rock vibes. I’ve loved seeing all your faces, hearing you sing with us and feeling the love and energy from each and every one of you,” he wrote.

“After Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, I suffered an injury that resulted in my inability to perform. I have since been in pain and discomfort and have been receiving rigorous physio therapy that has done wonders,” the Jane’s Addiction frontman added.

The concerts scheduled to be held in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City have been canceled due to doctors’ orders, according to him.

Farrell expressed hope that the band will be able to return to the stage in Cleveland on Saturday. Our Lady Peace will replace Jane’s Addiction until then.
