Piers Morgan slammed for vile question to woman who took Harrys virginity
Piers Morgan has been branded “vile” after his line of questioning to the woman who says she took Prince Harry's virginity.
In the trailer for his TalkTV interview with Sasha Walpole, released on Thursday, Piers, 57, asks her a series of probing questions about her claimed fling with the Duke of Sussex over 20 years ago, referred to in the royal’s bestselling memoir.
One question in particular Piers asks in the clip has left viewers appalled in reaction, as he brings up Meghan Markle, whom he has publicly criticised at every opportunity, and who has nothing to do with the topic of discussion.
Piers says: “Would you agree it was inglorious then? Did you know as you were in flagrante in the field that he was a virgin? Do you think he should have had the manners to let you know?”
He continues: “What do you think of Meghan Markle?
"Do you think he has traded up from you or down? If Prince Harry is watching this, what would you say to him? This is a guy who's sixth in line, or fifth in line to the throne of this country, talking about losing his virginity to you."
The trailer, which was posted on Twitter on Wednesday night, sparked unhappy responses from fans as they called out Piers for sinking to a new “low” by mentioning the Duchess of Sussex.
"Didn't think you could stoop any lower…I was wrong," one person wrote.
A second said: "Here we go again…his obsession…Meghan!"
“Piers Morgan interviewing the person who Harry lost his virginity to is beyond peak Alan Partridge,” another joked.
Someone else questioned: "If Harry invaded her privacy, how has she 'come forward?’"
A fifth added: "That's low even for you Piers.”
In his memoir spare, Harry, 38, discussed having lost his virginity at 17 years old to an “older woman”, while he was a student at Eton.
The Duke doesn’t mention the woman in question’s name, only referring to the tryst as "a humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion".
Speaking out for the first time over the weekend, Sasha explained she became "good friends" with Harry after meeting him as a teenager while working her first job as a groom at Highgrove.
Sasha, now 40, claimed she had sex with Harry on her 19th birthday in 2001, when the Duke was 16 at the time, 15 minutes away from a pub where she'd been celebrating with friends.
