Ulrika Jonsson, 55, has fired back at Noel Gallagher after he claimed single women are “f****ing insane” following the end of his 20-year relationship with Sara MacDonald earlier this year.

The TV personality says that perhaps it is not just women who are the problem, but perhaps the Oasis singer might be “a bit bonkers” himself.

Typing in her The Sun column, Ulrika said: “Oh no. He’s perfectly normal.

“But on a serious, more profound and infuriating note, wouldn’t it be nice if men could stop this ongoing, persistent narrative they continue to fall back on when it comes to women?

“That we’re all nuts. Women are bats**t crazy. We’re insane, cuckoo, wacky; psycho and, best of all, hysterical.

“I’m so painfully bored with this relentless characterisation of women and girls.

“Men use it as a reason to extricate themselves from any association with us.”

When asked about his love life following their split, Noel, 56, told Rolling Stone Music podcast: “Dating, I’m not sure about that.

“The women that I meet are absolutely f***ing insane.”

Noel also revealed he would be moving back to London and buying a bachelor pad.

He explained: “I’m getting a new house.

“When this tour is done, which will be sometime in 2024 I’ll be back in London and get into the routine of a new life which I’m looking forward to.

“It’s been a turbulent few years, to say the least.

“But I’m old enough now to know that all things must pass and eventually things will calm down and I’ll be back cruising again.”

Noel and Sara had ended their marriage at the start of the year.

The pair, who have two sons together and married in June 2011.

Noel told The Sun the end of their marriage was sped up by the pandemic.

“It’s not uncommon for people who have been in long-term relationships to go their separate ways in their 50s.”

He added: “The midlife crisis thing is true for men and women.”
