Zoe Ball ‘fell in love with a surfer in Mexico’ who’s ‘probably married with kids’

Zoe Ball opened up to Alan Carr about holiday romances, as she appeared on his Life's a Beach podcast, which sees celebs share their travel stories.

The Radio 2 presenter, 52, shared some of her past holiday romances, telling Alan, 46: "I did always quite like a holiday romance. Fell in love with a surfer in Mexico.

"He's probably married with kids so I won't tell you his name" to which Alan joked: "He's here tonight, here he is…"

Comparing Zoe's candid admission to his previous guests, Alan revealed that most of his other guests claim to have never had a holiday romance.

Discussing his own holiday flings, the comedian and TV presenter quipped: "You open your suitcase and you go 'oh my god I haven't packed my morals. No one knows who I am here, I can be a slag."

Recalling another holiday romance, Zoe added: "I fell in love with a Greek boy once, rode on the back of his moped. He was lovely."

Alan shared the podcast clip to his Instagram page, where it left his followers in stitches, with one commenting: "Listened to this today while at the gym…people while looking, as I was laughing out loud [laughing emoji]."

"I haven’t packed my morals [laughing emoji]" wrote another, while a penned: "Oh my god !!!!! I can’t wait to listen to this ! My two favourites!!!!"

Zoe recently left fans concerned after she had to pull out of representing Radio 2 at the King's Coronation Concert, with Dermot O'Leary and Scott Mills stepping in instead.

Sharing the sad news with fans, Zoe took to Twitter where she wrote: "Absolutely gutted… the sickness bug has got me, was meant to be heading to Windsor Castle for the #coronationconcert on @BBCRadio2 later @radioleary and @scott_mills have got you covered."

The poorly presenter continued: "I’m heading back to bed."

Fans were quick to send well-wishes to Zoe, with one replying: "Ahh no get well soon! If it makes u feel any better I'm in bed with Shingles so my partying will have to wait."

Another added: "So sorry to hear you are poorly [crying emoji] I was so looking forward to seeing you tonight at the concert. Get Well Soon x"

While a third said: "Noooooo [crying emoji] I hope you feel much better very soon. Sending love & gentle hugs your way xx"
