The Duchess of Edinburgh looked sophisticated in a check blazer as she attended the Driffield Society Agricultural Show today.
Sophie, 58, visited the Driffield Showground in Yorkshire, for one of the country’s most prominent agricultural shows.
The royal – who is patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations – stepped out for a day of wholesome fun at the occasion, which celebrated its 147th event.
Mother-of-two Sophie, dressed in a fitted tweed blazer that perfectly matched the day’s outing, was all smiles as she greeted the event’s organisers.
She matched the statement jacket with a loosely fitted black shirt with sophisticated gold button embellishments.

The royal decided to accessorise her ensemble with a simple chain and miniature gold hoop earrings, adding a feminine touch to the outfit.
Sophie kept her hair clipped back for the busy day in a classic circular hair clip. A bronzed smokey eye completed her makeup look, paired with sophisticated dusky pink lipstick.
The Duchess met Mr Richard Dee of the Driffield Show committee during the Agricultural Society Show. The pair shook hands before enjoying some light conversation.
During the day, Sophie also spoke with key contributors to the show, including Alan Glover, a representative from the Leicester Long Wools Sheep Organisation.
The busy day had a whole host of fun activities that visitors enjoyed, including an entertaining dog show, a horticulture section, and dancing diggers.
Agriculture is one of the many causes Sophie is passionate about and she has also served at the patron for the Border Union Agricultural Society since 2012.
What’s more, Sophie is also patron of The Addington Fund, a charity which helps struggling farmers, and visited a dairy farm in Gloucestershire earlier this year.
In recent years, she has also worked on the ‘Campaign for Wool’ campaign, which promotes the use of British wool in the fashion industry and was spear-headed by her brother-in-law King Charles.

The Duchess has had a busy past couple of days, as last night, she attended a reception that marked 400 years since William Shakespeare’s plays were collectively published.
Sophie appeared as elegant as ever in a sophisticated blue outfit while attending the event hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle in Berkshire.
Charles, 74, and Camilla, 76 were accompanied by the Duchess of Edinburgh, 58, and the Duchess of Gloucester, 77, at the Berkshire residence as they mixed with several famous faces, from Helena Bonham Carter to Dame Judi Dench.
British A-listers Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson and David Oyelowo also attended the occasion, where actors performed extracts from Julius Caesar and The Tempest.
It was to Shakespeare who Charles turned to in his first speech as King, the day after his mother Queen Elizabeth II died, quoting from Hamlet to round off his tribute to her devotion and duty: ‘May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.’
Charles’s interest in Shakespeare dates back to boarding school when he played the title role in Macbeth in 1965.
