After confusing fans by launching a Creme Egg-flavoured mayo in 2019, and a Chocolate Orange blend in 2021, Heinz is at it again.

The latest bizarre concoction has landed in time for Easter, and combines classic mayonnaise with hot cross bun flavours.

The brand has launched its Heinz [Seriously] Good Hot Cross Bun Mayo, which is made from its classic mayonnaise, toasted hot cross buns, and swirled with cinnamon spices and fruit pieces.

The controversial sweet mayo will only be available in 100 limited-edition jars, which must be won before April 2nd.

The Kraft-owned brand isn’t afraid of mixing up its flavours and last week launched it’s booziest creation yet with Absolut vodka.

Heinz joined forces with the vodka brand to create a vodka sauce for your pasta of choice (the classic choice being penne).

The brands said they had been inspired by the recipe which went viral on TikTok in 2020 during lockdowns, when amateur chefs on the platform shared their own versions of the pasta recipe.

For lovers of the recipe who don’t feel they have the time to spend in the kitchen, the sauce will be available from Waitrose next month for £2.50 per jar.
