I won £100,000 on People's Postcode Lottery but I was moments away from losing thanks to a silly mistake – DON'T do it | The Sun

A MUM has told how she won £100,000 on the People’s Postcode lottery – but almost lost the lot because of a silly mistake.

Mandy Birtley, 49, scooped the whopping sum when her road in Nottinghamshire won the Millionaire Street jackpot earlier this month.

But she nearly didn’t win, as she was on the verge of cancelling her ticket.

Luckily, her partner Gav persuaded her to keep playing.

She told Nottinghamshire Live: "My daughter Abbie came in when she came back from the shop and told me (we won).

"The first thing I did was check to make sure I didn't cancel it as I was thinking about cancelling it a few months ago when I was sorting my finances out.

She said: "The luck I have had is unbelievable and feel it's from my mum up there, it's the most luck I've had since she's gone, she's looking down on me.

"I'm going to spoil my kids and I have a grandchild that's now 12 and a new one coming in three weeks time.
