Royal expert shares three facts about King Charles that may surprise you

Royal fans have responded to a video about the unusual and quirky habits of “old school” King Charles that has surfaced on TikTok.

Despite having a track record for keeping his personal views private, virtually everyone is aware of some of the Monarch’s likes and dislikes.

All sorts of outrageous quirks have been revealed over the years, but some of the royal’s lavish requests were exposed by none other than his former valet Michael Fawcett.

In a recent TikTok clip, a royal commentator took it upon herself to shine the spotlight on the insider’s famous anecdotes.

The valet had discussed Charles’ habits with royal expert and biographer Christopher Anderson, who later shared them in one of his books.

What distinguishes the royal from his mother and predecessors may surprise you, a royal commentator explained in the TikTok video.

“Charles is a king of likes his luxuries. It’s all about the little detail. His valet allegedly squeezes out his toothpaste for him onto his very own monogrammed toothbrush,” noted the content creator.

This was not the only task Fawcett was in charge of, however.

“He […] gets his face shaved for him and is still so old school that he […] has help putting on his trousers and shoes,” added the royal commentator.

“Is it just way too over the top? And Charles should learn to do his own shoelaces up, or is it to be expected and fitting for the King of England?” she asked.

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts on the matter.

“That’s too much even for old school,” commented one viewer, while another agreed: “Most of that he would be capable of doing himself. It is a bit too far.”

Another noted: “Why not! These traditions and quirks won’t happen when Williams is king, so it’s funny to hear about them now!”

“I think he’s an older man and he may need help. What do we know about any injuries he’s had?” pointed out a third commentator.
