Stacey Solomon stuns fans with unconventional way of making her bed

Stacey Solomon has shocked fans with her unconventional method of making the bed.

The Loose Women star controversially revealed that not only does she stand on her bed to make it, but she also uses a nifty contraption so she doesn't have to iron her sheets.

Last week, the mum of five took to Instagram Stories to share a video of her carrying out the laborious household chore, and she used an unexpected wardrobe staple to ensure the sheets were pulled tight and smooth.

In a video which she captioned "Make the bed with me," the Sort Your Life Out host also stated that her game-changing trick means she never has to iron her bedding.

Captioning her video, the mum of five said: "There’s just something so satisfying about fresh sheets.

"It's sheet day on Sunday but did nothing yesterday but play in the garden so starting the week in fresh sheets instead."

She then filmed herself standing on the bed she shares with husband Joe Swash, 41, to put the fitted sheet and duvet on.

Pulling the sheet and duvet tight, Stacey then tucked them tightly under the mattress using an old wooden coat hanger .

Stacey made her bed look like one from a five-star hotel by adding pillows, scatter cushions and a throw.

When fans quizzed her on her unusual method, Stacey said she’d used a coat hanger "for years" to get the perfect finish.

She said: "Also LOADS of you asking what contraption I use to tuck my bedding in with. It's just a wooden clothes hanger. I've been doing that for years it makes it SO tight & I never have to iron or break a nail."

Stacey has shared this nail-saving tip once before.

Speaking on Fearne Cotton's podcast Happy Place earlier this year, she revealed she’d started making her bed using a hanger to save her nails.

Calling tucking the sheets in her "nail nemesis" she said: "I get a hard, wooden coat hanger and I lay the duvet across, and then use the hanger to shove it right down the sides of the mattress."

She went on to explain that this "pulls it so tight that it looks like it's been ironed and my nails are safe".
