  • The following night he showed up unannounced to a nightclub she was at

A young woman has been left feeling ‘creeped out’ after her Hinge date ‘stalked her’ in the middle of the night.

American YouTube personality Tana Mongeau, 25, went on a first date with the 34-year-old man who she thought was a ‘super good guy’.

The following night she attended a fashion event and claims he was eager to see her that evening.

While Tana messaged him saying she’ll keep in touch to possibly meet up later that night, he instead showed up unannounced to the nightclub she was at with friends.

‘Five minutes goes by and he texts me and says, “I’m outside, come get in my car. I’m outside”,’ Tana told her Cancelled podcast co-host Brooke Schofield.

She recalled the entire ordeal on a podcast episode which was also shared in a TikTok video.

‘I had just gone out with him on a date the night prior and the next day, he was like, ‘I would love to see you tonight’,’ she began.

‘I was like, “Okay, I have this event. I’ll let you know what I’m doing after. We can hang out, maybe. If not, I’ll let you know.” And then he goes, “Can I come with you?”.’

‘I find it very weird that when you go on one date with someone, they invite themselves.’

The glamorous blonde said she was paid to attend events and didn’t feel comfortable bringing someone along who she barely knows.

‘I don’t want to babysit this man all night. Like, I want to be able to just do my thing,’ she continued.

‘So I say, “I don’t know… let’s meet up after.” And he’s like, “Why not? Like, I can talk to people, too.” He’s 34, I find that to be kind of strange, you know? I was like, “Maybe I’ll see you later”.’

Following the fashion event she and her friends attended an after-party nightclub in Los Angeles.

‘So he’s texting me, and he’s like, “What are you doing?” I’m like, “Oh, I’m still hanging out with my friends”,’ Tana said.

‘I say to him, “I know it’s 1:15am, it’s kind of late, but if you wanted to watch a movie later or hang out, I could potentially be down but I’m gonna be here.”

‘He’s like, “It’s okay. I’m tired but I’m down to watch a movie in a little bit if you’re done soon.” And I’m like, “Okay, perfect”.

‘And he goes, “Where are you?” I answer him because it’s just conversational. So I’m like, “Oh I’m at this nightclub just vibing with my friends. I’ll tell you when I’m done”.’

However, five minutes later she claims to have received a text from the man saying he was outside in his car.

‘Five minutes goes by and he texts me and says, “I’m outside, come get in my car. I’m outside”,’ she said.

‘And I go, “What do you mean you’re outside?” And he’s like, “I live five minutes away, I’m outside.”‘

Co-host Brooke added how Tana never said to ‘pick me up’ from the afterparty.

Tana continued by saying: ‘I think that’s so crazy. If it’s like your boyfriend, it’s fine or even if we have been dating for a month.

‘But we went on one date the day before. Why the f*** are you outside? Don’t be outside.’

Tana recalled the entire ordeal on a podcast episode which was also shared in a TikTok video that’s now been viewed more than 3.2million times

The video has since captured the attention of the masses and been viewed an eye-watering 3.2million times.

‘This story was NUTS, so wild,’ one commented, another said: ‘That’s insane.’

‘Literally told a guy ‘maybe we can hang out later’ I fall asleep, and he showed up at my house,’ a third said.

Others shared their own experiences on the dating scene.

‘I learn to not tell people what I’m doing because of this,’ one wrote.

‘Something like this has happened to me before and it spooked me out,’ another added.
