William is ‘even-handed’ – ‘scrupulous’ in treating George and Charlotte equally

Prince William is the loving father of Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

He is a doting dad who is very hands-on, whether it’s helping the kids get ready for school, taking them to sporting events or paying them special attention during important royal events.

Prince William and Prince George have a very unique relationship as they share the experience of both being heirs to the throne.

However, this does not mean that the eldest son is treated any better than his brother or sister, said body language expert Judi James.

She spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about how William treats his daughter in relation to his sons.

She explained that although William and George share a unique experience, this doesn’t impact his parenting of his other children.

She said: “William might have tended to keep a very careful eye on George, his eventual heir, who he mentors for the role and who he is increasingly being shown as someone to share the joys of sports like football with, but he has always been quite scrupulous in treating George and Charlotte as equals.”

Judi referred to when the royal father took George and Charlotte to start off the half marathon at Sandringham in June 2021, when many were celebrating Father’s Day.

William’s act of inclusion suggested a very equal approach to parenting, as the father-son-daughter trio saw the runners off.

Judi also observed that on another occasion, Charlotte mimicked an affectionate gesture both her brothers have used with their dad, implying a very similar relationship.

She said: “When William was photographed romping on the ground with all three children it was Charlotte with her arms linked round his neck as they posed on a swing, in a gesture that was similar to one used by both George and Louis on their dad, which again seemed to illustrate William’s even-handed parenting.”

Prince William has spoken a number of times about his relationship with his three children.

He is very hands-on and present for both the big moments and the day-to-day occurrences – even when those daily occurrences are the “massive fights” between George and Charlotte.

Kate, Princess of Wales is the perfect partner as she is also a very purposeful parent who relishes quality time with her children.

She revealed that she loves to cook with her kids, and is also a crucial part of the school run, whether it’s plaiting Charlotte’s hair or teaching George how to tie a tie.
