Actor, politician and ex-bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzeneggers net worth

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in Fubar on Netflix

Netflix’s three-part docu-series Arnold delves into the life of the actor and politician’s career and personal life.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who starred in The Terminator franchise and is the former Governor of Florida, opens up about the three key chapters in his life in which he was able to reinvent himself, following the release of his Netflix series FUBAR.

How much is Arnold Schwarzenegger worth?

Schwarzenegger was born in Austria in 1947 to a family with little money but had a love of athletics, with a particular interest in bodybuilding.

He began competing as a teenager and became the youngest-ever winner of the Mr Universe competition at 20 years old.

Schwarzenegger went on to win the title four more times and Mr Olympia a whopping seven times.

The 75-year-old used his bodybuilding earnings to move to America in the late 1960s and starred in his first film Hercules in New York in 1970.

As his Austrian accent was so thick though, his lines had to be overdubbed in post-production.

He then went on to star in Stay Hungry with Sally Field and Jeff Bridges in 1976, earning him a Golden Globe for New Star of the Year.

This was just the beginning of Schwarzenegger’s movie career, going on to feature in films like The 6th Day, Sabotage, True Lies, Collateral Damage and Kindergarten Cop.

At the height of his acting career, he was earning somewhere between $20 and $50 million per movie.

Of course, his most iconic role to date has been in The Terminator franchise, where he earned just $75,000 from the first film as he spoke only 17 lines in total.

But by the time the sequel came out, Judgement Day, Schwarzenegger was being paid $14 million for starring as the futuristic cyborg.

According to Parade, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s net worth is estimated between $400 and $450 million.

All of this wealth hadn’t been made just through films either as the actor is also a business owner.

Schwarzenegger is the proud owner of Arnold’s Sports Festival, Oak Productions and Fitness Publications.

He has also a number of real estate investments and has ownership stakes in Dimensional Fund Advisors and Columbus’ Easton Town Center.

It has been reported that Schwarzenegger could have ownership stakes in as many as 100 different businesses.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about his future, he said: “I add in my life, I never subtract. I don’t need money. I get money because you have to have a certain value and the agents negotiate.

“But I have a great time doing it. I love everything that I do. There’s no retiring.”

Arnold is available to watch on Netflix.
