ALISON Hammond looked slimmer than ever as Dermot O’Leary hailed her "sensational" transformation on This Morning.

Dermot, 49, complimented his co-star's amazing look at the start of the show.




Turning to Alison, who wore a blazer over a dress and styled her hair in glam waves, he said: "You look sensational today."

The TV star then told viewers everyone in the studio was comparing her to Michelle Obama, adding: "Is it too much?"

Dermot replied: "We do think you would be a very good leader of the country!"

And Alison, 47, quipped: "I hope I live up to how I look."

In July Alison revealed she had cut out sugar to help her shed the pounds.

She weighed 20 stone at her biggest and started to lose weight after her beloved mother sadly died in 2020.

"Sometimes I look at myself and go, 'Wow, I am a big girl'. But I like taking up a bit of space.

"I take a little bit of extra space in the world and I don't think I'm hurting anyone."

She added on Lorraine Kelly’s podcast: "We're all going to die eventually. I might die a little bit sooner, but I'm going to live my life to the fullest.

"And if I do die sooner, I'm going to have a fantastic life. I'm going to have a wonderful life. I'm 47 now, I don't know how long I'm going to go on for."

Alison shot to fame when she competed in the third series of then-Channel 4 reality show Big Brother in 2002, and she went on to land a job as a reporter on This Morning in 2003.
