Bachelor star Florence Moerenhout hospitalised after drink spiked on night out

Star of The Bachelor Florence Moerenhout has revealed that she was hospitalised after her drink was allegedly spiked with a "date-rape" drug.

Florence, 32, who shot to fame on Bachelor in 2017 believes that her drink was spiked with the likes of Rohypnol or GHB – two prolific "date-rape" drugs.

The alleged spiking happened while she was on a night out in Melbourne, Australia, and now the TV star has taken to Instagram to warn other women.

Florence explained she was rushed to hospital after being unable to stand and feeling increasingly sick after having drinks with mates.

She said: "Last night I went out for a couple drinks and I only had three drinks with some friends and at about 10.30pm, I felt super unwell."

At first Florence thought that she was just drunk, but things got worse with the star feeling "sicker and sicker" as the night went on.

Speaking of the incident, she recalled: "I got home and I got sicker and sicker, I kept falling and tripping over, I couldn’t stand or sit, I was spinning."

She spoke of how she was "nauseous" and "tried everything", even a hot bath and a cold shower, adding: "I tried to vomit. I tried to eat, I tried to drink. Nothing would work."

"I ended up in hospital, and I spent the entire night in the hospital," the star added.

She concluded: "[To whoever did this to us] I hope God will push your hairline back so far that no woman ever, ever wants to look at you again."

Florence seemed to experience similar symptoms to that of "date-rape" drugs, which according to Healthline are: slurred speech, feeling "very drunk", dizziness, confusion, blackouts and memory loss.

In 2017 she shot to fame in The Bachelor, before another TV stint two years later that saw her pop up on The Bachelor in Paradise in 2019.

With over 105,000 followers on her Instagram page, Florence has garnered a loyal legion of followers and supporters who love to keep up with her daily goings on.
