BBC The Traitors fans left in tears over latest elimination in ‘brutal’ show twist

BBC The Traitors fans were left in tears during Wednesday's episode as they learnt that Andrea had been eliminated.

During the latest episode, the contestants learnt that "faithful" Andrea had gone as it showed a flashback to the night before where "traitor" Wilfred and new "traitor" Kieran decided to eliminate her.

Viewers will recall that the show's "faithfuls" will be eliminated as they are "killed off" by their unknown enemies the "traitors".

Making their decision, Wilfred said: "For me, Andrea's the one. She could possibly win this if she stays in. She's not going to get the votes around the table."

It then showed Andrea realising she was eliminated as she sat down and read out loud a letter, saying: "By order of the Traitors, you have been murdered, signed by the Traitors, cross, cross, cross. There we are, that's it.

"I'd love to have got to the end, for me, one of the big lessons in this is we can all have a go, we won't all succeed but we can all have a go and if we try our best, we will have personally for each of us succeeded.

"What a pleasure, to have had this chance, at my age, to do this" to which she started crying, adding: "Thank you so much, I've loved it!"

Upon learning the news, Wilfred joined his contestants and pretended to be shocked as he added in a VT: "I love Andrea so much and I made that decision but the more I feel guilty, if I show it too much on my face, they're going to know."

Viewers were quick to react as they admitted they were in tears over Andrea's exit.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Nooooo justice for Andrea. I’m crying real tears #TheTraitors."

A different account put: "Andrea is only the second elimination to have brought me to tears. I love that woman. She's incredibly special. #TheTraitors."

Another follower wrote: "Why am i in floods of tears at andrea being murdered oh my god #thetraitors."

While a different viewer added: "#TheTraitors Andrea has me in FLOODS of tears. Oh my god."

The Traitors continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
