Christine McGuinness is 'really not fine' after marriage split and is 'anxious' about seeing ex Paddy McGuinness at NTAs | The Sun

CHRISTINE McGuinness has admitted she is "quite nervous" about being reunited with ex husband Paddy at the NTA's – yet insisted she will "hold my head up high."

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 34, told how she was "not OK" after a social media absence and the breakdown of her marriage with the father to her three kids.

Paddy, 49, and Christine announced their sad split in June.

The pair each posted identical statements on Instagram where they opened up about the "difficult decision".

The Games star Christine has received a swell of support from fans since the split, and has now given them an emotional update.

Taking to her social media while sitting in her car, former model Christine dressed down in a white sweater and leggings.

All about Christine McGuinness’ and her children

Ending a touching Instagram video on a high, she told how she had "done nothing wrong" and would do her best to enjoy tonight's glitzy London awards ceremony.

She said: "I'm a nominee for the documentary me and Patrick made with our children and I'm really anxious. I'm quite nervous, just because of everything.

"It's not the best situation, but you know I haven't done anything wrong and I know what a big difference try documentary made and I know how hard the whole team worked on it.

"So I'm going to go and try and hold my head up high and just enjoy the night."

Earlier in her video she addressed her current emotional state and her candid struggles.

Christine said: "Hey everyone I just thought I'd come on and say hey. It's been a while. I know I've been quiet. I've had loads going on which I know most of you are aware of.

"Loads of you have been checking in on me which I really really appreciate. Thank you so much. I'll be honest.

"I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to come on and say 'I'm fine. I'm just having a little quiet time.' I'm really not fine.

"There's been far too much on my plate recently, but I'm doing OK. I'm having more good days than bad and I've missed talking of myself on here. I talk to myself every single day but I didn't realise how much I used Instagram as like an outlet."

She then added: "Before I used to come on and just chat rubbish every day, and I miss doing that so I'm going to try and be a little bit more active.

"At the moment I'm not feeling completely a 100 per cent myself so I probably will keep having little quiet times, but I am doing OK."

Paddy and Christine revealed their split in a joint statement signed off with a kiss and said they aimed to be the "best parents they could be".

The pair have three children – twins Leo and Penelope, eight, and Felicity, five.

They wrote: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our life personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.

"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

"This was not an easy decision to make but we are moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.

"We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."

They added: "We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted intrusion into our private life.
