Coronation Street fans horrified as Amy is raped by Aaron in harrowing scenes

Coronation Street viewers were left reeling after scenes played out depicting the rape of Amy Barlow by Aaron as she slept.

Fans of the show found themselves 'disgusted' as drunk Amy passed out and predatory Aaron took advantage of her in her intoxicated state.

Outraged as the scene played out showing Amy passing out before Aaron continues to kiss and touch her body and throws her underwear to the floor viewers took to Twitter to air their feelings.

One wrote: "That was not disgusting #Aaron. What the character is doing is not okay and I hope this storyline ends up with him being jailed and ultimately going on the sex offenders register!"

Another added: "Aaron is rancid! He's gross."

A third said: "Amy won't remember, up the duff, doesn't know how. Watch."
