Eamonn Holmes gives major health update as he reveals TV return date | The Sun

Eamonn Holmes has given his concerned fans an update on his chronic pain condition and revealed when he's back on TV.

The much-loved presenter, 63, took to social media to explain his army will followers will be see him back on their screens very soon indeed.


Eamonn shared a video on instagram, sat in front of a roaring fire, and revealed he will return to GB News' Breakfast show tomorrow (January 9)

Eamonn revealed: “I'm back tomorrow which sounds like a threat doesn't it!

“You may or may not be aware of what happened to me. I had some back surgery because I've had disc problems for a year and a half or so and the surgery affected one of my legs, which led to me falling down stairs, and breaking my shoulder. 

"So I had a leg that didn't work, and a shoulder that didn't work – and lots of other things in between.”

The brave star added: “So here I am. I feel that there are only so many box sets I can watch or recommend to you!

“I'm not better, but I'm better than I was. And I've decided to make an attempt to go back to work on GB News from tomorrow. This is on the basis that work, hopefully, will help to heal me."

He went on to reveal how he had struggled recovering at home as he is so used to being busy.

Eamonn added: “As any of you who are long term sick, or who are in any way convalescing, particularly at home, will know, there's a lot of frustration involved in it.

His wife Ruth Langsford was quick to comment on the post with a supportive message.

"Yaaay! 🎉🎉🎉 I’ll miss you at home of course!! 💋" she posted.

Ruth then added: "And very proud of you of course x"

Strictly Come Dancing favourite James Jordan also sent his support, commenting: "BEST IN THE BUSINESS"
