Emmerdale scene from 5 years ago ‘confirms’ Caleb’s plan to kill Kim

Fans try to predict Caleb’s Emmerdale secret

A scene which aired on Emmerdale five years ago may confirm what Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) and Nicky (Lewis Cope) have planned for Kim Tate (Claire King). Earlier this week, fans learned Caleb’s father was Frank Tate and he is after his share of his inheritance so has been keeping his true identity a secret. Meanwhile, when Kim learned of a secret heir, she plotted to hide all of Frank’s money so they couldn’t get their hands on it. Could Caleb kill Kim to ensure he is paid?

Caleb was confirmed to be the son of the late Frank Tate and Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) on Thursday evening.

Frank is likely not to have known about Caleb as Faith gave him up when she was in prison as she knew it wasn’t her husband Shadrach’s.

However, as he is a Tate by birth, he is entitled to a share of Home Farm and plans to take his inheritance from Kim.

His plan to destroy Kim and take what is rightly his was revealed when he spoke to his son Nicky, who is currently working at Home Farm.

While Caleb’s link to the Tate family may have only been revealed, a scene from five years ago may confirm Faith knew her son had a claim to Home Farm.

In 2018, Frank’s wife Kim was thrown from a balcony when she held a party at the grand estate to make her return to the village after 20 years.

Faith was repealed to have been the one to push Kim after the pair were revealed to be enemies.

At the time, fans weren’t given much of an explanation as to why they were feuding but it’s likely to be over Frank.

Could Faith have wanted Kim dead as revenge for leaving Frank to die meaning Caleb never met his real father?

While Faith didn’t end up killing Kim, Caleb may have learned what happened to Frank and decided to not only take the matriarch’s money but also murder her.

With Nicky successfully embedded at Home Farm and now engaged to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), Caleb can learn as much as he needs to about Kim without coming under suspicion.

Teasing a full-on fallout between the Dingles and the Tates, actor Will has revealed: “It could be a bit of a burden for them both as there’s a foot in both families.
